Animal Anatomy
Assignment 1:
Draw your favourite animal!
Outline:

1. Do NOT use any tutorials to draw your animal. Use the skills you have.
2. You CAN use a reference image if you like. Drawing from memory is preferred.
3. Animal can be existing, extinct, or mythological.
4. Image must be in black and white (digital) or pencil/pen on paper. No colouring please.
5. Once complete, submit to the Animal Anatomy Class folder at #DeviantArt-Academy.
6. Have fun!

Friday, October 7th, 2011

Do your best to submit your assignment ASAP. That way we can all move on the the next lesson and learn more about Animal Anatomy!

ignore the colouration differences, thanks

So, the Arcanine and Mightyena are up there with the Eevee first gen evolutions.

This morning I felt like making the Arcanine :)

I think he turned out pretty cool, I tried to use body references, but I fail with references, so yeah... didn't use a body ref, but I DID have to use Arcanine refs for the markings and such.

He needs a name... I think I might steal the name my step sis likes...

I think I'll call him, Cliff

Overall, its a really good pic, but the lower half steals the show a bit. He could be a little bit more fluffed out. I would feel better if he was colored^^ Rapidspin would make a neat last name. Cliff here has a lot potential of being a rad character. I would recommend giving the eyes a bit more detail. I'm really just trying to fill the word minimum here. Its my first real critique here on DA. This guy is so full of awesome Win and this drawing needs a big cookie pizza^^;

but love it none the less^^

xD I laughed when you made that poll and a lot of people chose the Pokemon thing. I mean, considering inside jokes about pokemon and whatnot... just lol x3. Looks very good. Seriously love that anatomy!
